This is an OPINION article from our Editors, based on REAL (and very sad) situations that we have witnessed. If any honest judges out there feel their honor and pride touched by this article, kindly do understand that innocent human beings (including little children) are being hurt in their flesh and minds by violent parents and some corrupt judges that partner with them. They must be denounced.
Why does a judge seldom get sued
Judges are protected from accountability by several mechanisms, some objective and some subjective (such as the fear to disagree with such a powerful person)
- Fear of retaliation.
- Lawyers tell you not to do so, and refuse to represent you, because they work with each other on a daily basis
- By law, judges are immune to charges filed by reason of his verdicts, even if they contain serious errors.
- Victims can appeal to a higher court within a ridiculous short deadline, but not file a criminal or civil lawsuit.
- Unrealistic deadlines for appealing to a higher court, unless you have the money to pay a very expensive law firm
If complains are indeed filed, they will be analized by a group of their own peers, making any relevant punishment unlikely
Why will a judge seldom get convicted
Let’s choose a random profession, say… a teacher. And let’s assume, because it seams reasonable, that:
- Most teachers talk to other teachers, are friends with other teachers and are sympathetic towards other teachers.
- The vast majority of teachers are honest, and as a mere example, let’s say that 99,5% are.
Unless judges are some kind of super-humans morally superior to everybody else (which would be seriously unfair to… teachers) we can assume that:
- Most judges talk to other judges, are friends with other judges and are sympathetic towards other judges.
- The vast majority of judges, are honest and therefore we will use the same number as before (99,5% of honest judges)
Therefore, we may conclude that 5 out 1000 individuals (and that’s an hypothetical number) on any given regular profession engage in any type of illicit activity. If they are caught (which is less likely to happen to judges, as we will see in other articles)
Who judges the 5 in 1000 dishonest teachers? Judges.
Who judges the 5 in 1000 dishonest judges? Other judges.
Who do you think will receive a more lenient punishment? Of that, let YOU be the judge. And if you are a indeed a judge, share your opinion with us and support it with facts.
